  1. Who is WaterAid?
    WaterAid is an international, non governmental organisation dedicated to giving the world’s poorest people access to safe drinking water and effective sanitation. Learn more about WaterAid here.

  2. Who is organising this event?
    This event is being organised by the Queensland WaterAid Committee – a group of volunteers from different organisations who have come together to raise money for WaterAid.

  3. What sort of event is it?
    This event is also held successfully in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. It’s a night that brings together senior executives and their partners for an exclusive, black tie evening. Be prepared for a night of fun and raising money for a very worthy cause.

  4. What time does the Ball start and end? 
    6.30pm till late Saturday 17th June 2017.

  5. Who should attend?
    Anyone who is interested in solving the water and sanitation crisis in developing countries. This event also attracts CEOs and senior management from the engineering, water and infrastructure sectors.

  6. Should I bring my partner?
    Most tables comprise guests and their partners - but it’s up to you.

  7. How many people on each table?
    10.

  8. Can I have more people on my table? 
    No, sorry.

  9. What should I wear? 
    Masquerade Balls are elegant and fun occasions, where you get to dress up and wear formal clothing with a mask to complete the look.

  10. What happens on the night?
    During the night there will be lots of fundraising activities including a raffle, silent auction, live auction, wine wall and entertainment for you to relax and enjoy. We will accept cash or credit card payments. 

  11. Will I receive tickets for the night?
    Yes and hold onto them. These will help you know where to go, what time etc and are ideal for sending on to your guests.

  12. Where is the event? 
    Brisbane City Hall. 

  13. What if I have food allergies or I am vegan, vegetarian, gluten free? 
    Please email louise@elleevents.com.au and let her know.

  14. Why do I need to provide the names of my guests in advance? 
    We will have an electronic bidding system on the night – and for this to work, we need to have the names of your guests in advance. Without guest names you will not receive electronic bidding for your table. It also helps us with any guests with dietary requirements.
